In the hills of southern Oregon lies this family-oriented and peaceful campground, situated in a rural area less than a mile from the Rogue River and surrounded by farmland. The staff was great, the views were awesome, the price was good. Beautiful park with beach access and coin operated binoculars for whale watching or just viewing the sea. We do not know that the sites listed here should be listed on the primary view as the prices have not been determined. Our community provides the best free camping information available.

We allhad a great time! Sunset Bay State Park 12 miles southwest of Coos Bay and U. The best accommodations in Harney County. Beachcombing; Fishing for Winter Steelhead in Tenmile Creek; bluegill, bullhead and largemouth bass at Tenmile Lake. We believe that free camping areas are often the most beautiful and peaceful camp sites. Buffered by hills, it's only half a mile from I-5, conveniently located between Medford and Grants Pass. .
We also love the hiking trails that are all over the area. In fact, there are plenty of secret treasures in the Sunset Bay area. If you haven't tried out a yurt before we highly recommend it because it's great for those days you don't want to quite rough it. The pull-through sites are unique. You can even drag the route around if you see something interesting you'd like to check out. If you want to go beyond that, Crater Lake is only an hour away.
Southern Oregon Camping and Campgrounds abound. It's great for the kids too, you feel like you are away at summer camp. What's really nice about staying there is the fact that Lake of the Woods Lodge is not far away. We are not actively seeking Wal-Marts, truckstops or other parking lots and will not be adding very many of these. We are planning in the near future to take the kids back to do more hiking and to visit Plaikni Falls. There are two play areas and if you pick your campsite strategically, you can choose the perfect spot to watch the kids and enjoy relaxing all at the same time.
